Amid the historic April days, construction sites nationwide are operating at full pace, marking the anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Mr. Pham Truong Vu, Director of Chi Thanh - Van Phong component expressway project, said that the unit is focusing on completing final items while reviewing the entire system to ensure the project operates safely, efficiently and with long-term durability once in service.
In the western area, Component Project 2 of Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway project, a key corridor linking the Central Highlands to the coast, is being accelerated. To overcome challenges, contractors have organised “three shifts, four crews”, maintaining continuous round-the-clock operations.
The highlight along with most technically challenging component is the 1.7 km Phuong Hoang Tunnel, undertaken by a consortium of Deo Ca Group and Deo Ca Construction JSC. Despite significant difficulties, including large volumes of groundwater complicating excavation as well as shortages of materials, the contractor remains on schedule. The entire project is striving for technical traffic opening by September 2 this year.
Unlocking coastal potential
Alongside expressway network, the Coastal road project in the eastern Dak Lak is gradually taking shape, forming a new development corridor. With a total length exceeding 25.6 km and investment nearing 3.825 trillion VND, the route passes through multiple coastal areas with strong potential, from Song Cau ward to Tuy Hoa ward.

Several sections have already been completed, improving connectivity between residential areas alongside tourist destinations. The remaining sections are under accelerated construction, with the entire route slated for completion in 2029.
According to Mr. Dang Khoa Dam, Director of the Management Board for construction investment projects in the eastern province, the Coastal road project is a key task aimed at progressively completing coastal infrastructure along with creating a driving force for local socio-eco development. Beyond transport functions, the route serves as a lever for tourism and coastal urban development. Once infrastructure is in place, coastal land will become more attractive, facilitating investment in resorts together with eco-urban areas.
In the southeast province, Phuoc Tan - Bai Nga road, now operational, not only enhances the coastal transport network but also reinforces its role as a catalyst for development of the South Phu Yen Economic Zone. The route has opened new access space for investors, increased value of coastal land resources and promoted formation of industrial, service as well as tourism projects within the economic zone.
Behind the concrete structures combined with bridge spans lies confidence in a new development phase, where infrastructure leads the way, opening opportunities for Dak Lak to accelerate its integration and growth.
