With an integrated development landscape stretching from the highlands to the coastline, Dak Lak is cultivating new growth engines while accelerating investment attraction in strategic sectors, laying the groundwork for future breakthroughs.
Emerging as a new growth pole
Under the adjusted Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision towards 2050, the province is pursuing a development model based on “three regions, three corridors, two centres and three growth poles”. Three strategic breakthroughs have been identified: advancing science, technology as well as digital transformation (DX); enhancing human resource quality coupled with institutional reform; and investing in a modern, synchronised infrastructure system.

The new development space enables Dak Lak to connect directly with East - West economic corridors, connecting raw material production areas with processing industries, logistics alongside seaports, thereby strengthening its appeal for large-scale projects in industry, energy, high technology combined with logistics.
According to the Department of Finance, at the upcoming provincial investment promotion conference, Dak Lak will unveil a portfolio of 259 investment projects for the 2026 - 2030 period, with total registered capital exceeding 1 quadrillion VND. Relevant authorities have also prepared a list of projects for investment approval decisions, survey approvals along with investment memorandum signings.
Specifically, 16 projects have already been granted investment decisions, with combined registered capital reaching 21,572 billion VND, while a further 16 projects worth 30,017 billion VND are under consideration. The province is also preparing to grant survey approvals for three energy projects with estimated investment of approximately 70 trillion VND. In addition, the PPC will sign investment memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with investors covering projects valued at 356,679 billion VND. Separate cooperation agreements between local enterprises and domestic as well as international partners are expected to mobilise a further 720 billion VND.
Towards a new technology, logistics and energy hub
A defining feature of Dak Lak’s investment attraction portfolio for 2026 - 2030 is a series of large-scale projects in digital technology, data infrastructure combined with renewable energy, which are identified as new growth drivers during the DX era.
In the healthcare, education, environment and IT sectors alone account for 19 projects with total investment capital exceeding 127,133 billion VND. IT accounts for the largest share, with three flagship projects worth approximately 117,450 billion VND.

Notably, the AI Data Centre - Renewable Energy - High-Tech Workforce Training Complex in the provincial western area is expected to provide a cornerstone for Dak Lak’s digital technology ecosystem coupled with data industry. In addition, the Data Centre and Onshore Telecommunications Submarine Cable Connection Facility project in eastern Dak Lak has attracted strong investor interest, helping strengthen digital infrastructure while attracting technology and digital service enterprises.
Alongside digital technology development, Dak Lak is prioritising infrastructure investment through 56 projects covering industrial parks together with clusters, seaports, logistics and transport infrastructure, with estimated total capital of around 111.1 trillion VND.
According to comrade Nguyen Hoang Phuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, with its new development planning framework, portfolio of large-scale projects alongside determination to improve the investment environment, Dak Lak is steadily realising its goal of becoming a regional connectivity hub linking the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands. This will not only create opportunities to expand the provincial economy but also facilitate the formation of integrated value chains spanning production, processing, logistics, exports and services.
Under its new development strategy, Dak Lak is positioning itself as a new growth pole for digital technology, logistics, renewable energy, marine economy, high-tech agriculture along with circular economy in the years ahead.
