As for industry, following GRDP growth of 10.5% in Q1 2026, the sector is targeting annual industrial GRDP growth of 15.11%, with the Industrial Production Index (IIP) projected to increase by 12.13%. According to comrade Nguyen Thi Thu An, Director of the DoIT, the industrial growth scenario has been broken down into a quarterly and monthly basis to ensure the annual industrial GRDP growth target is achieved".
The provincial total export turnover is projected to reach 2,920.8 million USD in 2026, up 4.3% compared with 2025. Output of the key export commodities is expected to record further growth, with coffee production increasing by 25.1 thousand tonnes combined with export earnings reaching 1.33 billion USD, accounting for nearly 46% of the total export turnover. Other major export categories, including rubber, pepper, electronic components, wood and wood products, textiles as well as garments, fruit and vegetables alongside seafood, are likewise forecast to maintain solid growth.

Driving innovation, strengthening connectivity
| "The Department of Industry and Trade encourages enterprises to proactively innovate business models, strengthen competitiveness as well as deepen linkages between production facilities and distribution networks in order to expand sustainable markets for locally manufactured products", said Nguyen Thi Thu An, Director of the DoIT. |
In order to realise the growth scenario, the industry and trade sector is prioritising agro-processing, food along with beverage manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, export-oriented wood processing alongside renewable energy. Simultaneously, it continues monitoring the progress of industrial projects capable of generating novel production capacity.
While the western region is expected to maintain its role as the provincial principal growth engine, contributing 70 - 80% of total provincial export turnover, the eastern region will build on its strengths in seafood processing, cassava starch production, and garment manufacturing. The sector is strengthening engagement with enterprises to monitor production activities, intensifying trade promotion, enhancing forecasting capability while making more effective use of commercial data.
By strengthening forecasting capacity, accelerating e-commerce infrastructure development, while stimulating domestic consumption, the industry and trade sector is proactively unlocking enterprises’ potential while fostering resilient growth amid external uncertainties.
