Livestream sales at the Durian Festival generate more than 2.8 billion VND

A representative of the Department of Industry and Trade said that, after three days of livestream sales held as part of the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival, the province sold more than 27.8 tonnes of durian and a range of speciality products, generating more than 2.835 billion VND in total revenue.

Specifically, from August 15 - 17, Krong Pac, Cu M’Gar and Krong Nang communes, together with the Online Market at the province’s product exhibition area, held eight livestream sessions. The sessions attracted more than 2 million views and generated more than 5,570 orders. Krong Nang commune was a standout, organising four livestream sessions that attracted nearly 650,000 views and generated more than 5,000 orders. More than 24 tonnes of durian were sold, generating approximately 2.4 billion VND in revenue.

In addition to promoting fresh durian, the livestream sessions at the province’s product exhibition area also showcased 21 agricultural products and distinctive OCOP products from enterprises, cooperatives and household businesses province-wide.

Previously, the Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Vietnam E-commerce Association in Da Nang and Viettel Post Dak Lak, provided training on TikTok Shop sales, as well as packaging and delivery procedures for around 80 officials and representatives from 21 communes and wards.

The programme was also supported by e-commerce platforms including Shopee, Lazada and Tiki, along with logistics providers such as Giao Hang Nhanh, J&T Express and Giao Hang Tiet Kiem.

A new feature of this year’s festival was the “One KOL/KOC per commune to sell durian online” model. Alongside professional KOLs/KOCs, commune leaders, civil servants, Youth Union members, young people and farmers also directly participated in livestream sessions. The model not only became a highlight of the festival’s trade promotion activities, but also contributed to building an e-commerce workforce at the grassroots level, expanding sales channels and increasing the value of Dak Lak agricultural products.
