The exhibition alongside promotion event dedicated to durian together with OCOP products - held from August 15th to 23rd in Buon Ma Thuot ward as part of the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival - serves as a vital bridge, expanding market opportunities for local agricultural products to approach a wider range of consumers.

Featuring 400 booths from 155 enterprises, the exhibition space is systematically organized into specialized zones to maximize trade promotion effectiveness. Notably, the specialized durian zone showcases a wide range of agricultural supplies, products along with production equipment. Multiple exhibitors present advanced solutions coupled with biotechnology applications designed to support safe farming practices. Mr. Le Van Bac, a business representative, shared: "We aim to partner with and assist farmers in adopting technical advancements for more effective crop care, thereby optimizing costs combined with labor during cultivation."

For the first time, the integration of technology alongside the digital economy is being emphasized through interactions with KOLs and KOCs combined with live-streamed sales, helping to boost the online visibility of Dak Lak's agricultural product brands. The exhibition area also offers residents along with visitors an engaging experience, featuring complimentary durian-based delicacies, photo opportunities in conjunction with mini-games gaining prizes. Artistic performances, musical shows, combined with trade promotion activities take place throughout the event, creating a modern and vibrant commercial atmosphere.

From domestic linkages to international markets

Alongside the participation of domestic enterprises, the presence of international partners creates additional networking opportunities, granting direct access to high-quality raw materials while enabling local businesses to better understand the technical standards, trends, together with requirements from major import markets.

The specialized exhibition coupled with promotion zone for durian alongside OCOP products serves as a vital bridge, fostering supply-demand connections, expanding the domestic consumptive market, while supporting the official-channel export target.

Mr. Vo Dinh Tuan, Deputy Executive Director of Vuong Dien Agriculture-Forestry-Fishery Cooperative (Dak Lieng commune), stated: "We are representing the locality at the 3-star OCOP product exhibition booth with the aim of promoting our signature local products as well as establishing broad connections to domestic and international customers along with partners."

Comrade Dao My, Dak Lak PPC Vice Chairman, Head of the Organizing Board for the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival, remarked: "The core value of the exhibition zone lies not in its scale or the number of products, but in the connections forged, between producers and consumers, business to business, cooperatives together with distribution networks, products along with markets, investors combined with the locality. Thereby, we anticipate signing additional contracts, orders, along with partnerships, as well as introducing more products into contemporary distribution systems, e-commerce platforms, together with international markets."

Within Dak Lak provincial agricultural economic landscape, durian coupled with OCOP products contribute to elevating Vietnamese agricultural product stature on the global stage. The province is actively intensifying trade promotion in conjunction with marketing efforts to integrate agricultural products into modern distribution networks, e-commerce platforms, along with international markets.
