A ceremony honouring Viet Nam’s largest State budget contributors in 2026 was held in Ha Noi on September 15. Of the 200 enterprises with the largest State budget contributions, 99 are private enterprises, 73 are State-owned enterprises, and 28 are FDI or joint-venture enterprises.

The number of private enterprises paying more than 10 trillion VND (384.93 million USD) into the State budget has doubled to eight this year, from just four in the previous PRIVATE 100 ranking.

The threshold for entering the Top 10 of the PRIVATE 100 has also risen to around 5.8 trillion VND (223.25 million USD), approximately 1 trillion VND (38.49 million USD) higher than in the previous ranking, highlighting the growing scale of budget contributions from leading private businesses.

State-owned enterprises have also recorded substantial contributions. Among the STATE 100, 71 enterprises paid more than 1 trillion VND (38.49 million USD) into the State budget, including 14 that contributed over 10 trillion VND (384.93 million USD). Even the enterprise ranked 100th made an actual payment of 468 billion VND (18 million USD).

The composition of the STATE 100 shows that State budget revenues are not concentrated among just a handful of major corporations. By number of enterprises, the lottery sector has the largest representation, with 22 enterprises, followed by the electricity sector with nine.

The oil and gas and transport-logistics sectors each have six enterprises in the ranking. Banking, chemicals, technology-telecommunications-media, petroleum-gas, and coal-minerals also have significant representation among the top 100.

The figures indicate the broad-based contribution of businesses across different sectors to State budget revenues, with both private and State-owned enterprises playing a significant role.
