340 novel enterprises established in August

In August, an estimated 340 new enterprises were established province-wide with a total registered capital of approximately 3 trillion VND; this represents 91% of the previous year’s figure in terms of the number of enterprises but a 36% increase in capital. Concurrently, an estimated 50 enterprises resumed operations, marking a 39% increase compared to the same period last year.

Cumulatively, in the first eight months of 2026, approximately 2,500 novel enterprises were established with a total registered capital reaching about 21.5 trillion VND, an 18% increase in the number of enterprises along with 82% of the capital level recorded during the same period last year. An estimated 510 enterprises resumed operations, representing a 23% increase year-on-year.

However, since the beginning of the year, 1,200 enterprises throughout the province have dissolved, a 176% increase compared to the same period, while an estimated 1,218 enterprises have temporarily suspended business, a 6% increase.

The sharp rise in enterprise dissolution is attributed to business registration authorities collaborating with tax agencies to review, standardize, combined with clean up business registration data, as well as to process dissolution procedures for enterprises that had ceased operations in previous periods but had not yet finalized the official termination procedures.

Furthermore, the majority of enterprises are small, medium, even micro-sized, with limited financial capacity, management capabilities, technological innovation, together with resilience against market fluctuations.
