On November 4, in Thailand’s Chanthaburi Province, a Dak Lak provincial delegation led by comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province, held a working session with Chanthaburi provincial leaders to exchange experience as well as explore cooperation opportunities in agriculture, particularly durian cultivation and development.
Introducing the provincial potential coupled with strengths, Chanthaburi representatives said it had strong advantages in agriculture and tourism, while also serving as a major centre for gemstone production and trading. Notably, Chanthaburi is regarded as Thailand’s “fruit capital” alongside “durian hub”, with extensive experience in organising production, developing cultivation areas and marketing agricultural products.
Dak Lak also boasts considerable potential and advantages across various sectors, particularly agriculture, with signature products including coffee, durian combined with tropical fruits. The province needs to further learn from Chanthaburi’s experience in production organisation, processing, quality management and market development.
