In April 2026, despite impacts from global economic fluctuations and rising raw material costs, the provincial socio-eco situation remained stable with several encouraging outcomes.
Trade along with services continued to show strong momentum, with total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue estimated at 17.515 trillion VND, up 14.8% year-on-year. The industrial production index also maintained solid growth of 22.89%. In agriculture, the province completed the winter - spring crop sowing season across 137,941 hectares, reaching 101.88% of the plan.
During the month, state budget revenue was estimated at 1.245 trillion VND. In the first four months of the year, total revenue reached an estimated 6.448 trillion VND, marking a 12.9% increase compared with the same period last year. Investment attraction efforts also continued to gain traction, with the province approving investment policy for four projects with registered capital of approximately 1.18 trillion VND.
So far, the province has approved investment policy decisions and granted investment registration certificates for 10 projects, with total registered capital estimated at approximately 4.75185 trillion VND.
Alongside the positive outcomes, however, the meeting candidly identified several difficulties and bottlenecks affecting growth momentum. Notably, the provincial public investment disbursement rate reached only 7.5% of the annual plan, significantly below the national average of 14.2%.

Concluding the meeting, PPC Chairman, comrade Do Huu Huy instructed departments, agencies and People’s Committees of communes alongside wards to maintain strong focus, shifting from simply carrying out assigned tasks to taking decisive action and delivering tangible results, while urgently resolving bottlenecks related to investment, land and projects. Problems must be addressed thoroughly during implementation rather than allowing delays to persist.
Accelerating public investment disbursement was identified as an immediate priority. Accordingly, project investors are required to sign progress commitments before May 12, while leaders of communes combined with wards must commit to completing site clearance before May 15. The Department of Construction was tasked with promptly advising on a “green lane” mechanism for investment and construction procedures relating to key projects as well as social housing developments.
Simultaneously, the Department of Agriculture and Environment was assigned to urgently advise on land price adjustment coefficients before May 15. The department must also expedite completion of the provincial sustainable coffee development scheme, aligned with the goal of developing Buon Ma Thuot into the “world coffee capital”.
Regarding social affairs, relevant agencies were instructed to thoroughly prepare for the 2026 entrance examination for grade 10 and the national high school graduation examination, while proactively implementing drought alongside forest fire prevention measures. The PPC will also strengthen supervision and monitoring to ensure agencies strictly implement assigned political as well as economic tasks in line with schedule.
