IDH Netherlands together with JDE Group have coordinated with Dak Lak PPC to connect domestic and international enterprises alongside farmers in implementing the Integrated Sustainable Landscapes Initiative (ISLA), aimed at promoting “Sustainable Production, Natural Resource Conservation and Social Welfare” through public-private partnership (PPP) cooperation.
At the working session, Mr. Huynh Tien Dung, Country Director of IDH Vietnam, expressed hope for continued cooperation in advancing sustainable development of the coffee sector during the 2026-2030 period. He noted that Dak Lak province in general, particularly its coffee products, remains among IDH’s strategic priorities. Following implementation and completion of the Dak Lak Sustainable Landscape Programme for 2021-2025, IDH is continuing to develop a new coffee-related programme for the province.
Throughout implementation of the 2026-2030 programme, IDH will prioritise several key tasks, including development of large-scale sustainable and regenerative raw-material zones; enhancement of traceability systems expanded to farming households in line with digital transformation orientations; establishment of carbon monitoring and assessment systems; alongside support relevant stakeholders participating in related projects, thereby contributing to growth of the provincial coffee industry.

PPC Vice Chairman, comrade Nguyen Thien Van highly appreciated contributions made by IDH Netherlands together with partner companies to Dak Lak’s coffee sector over recent years.
The programme currently developed by IDH for 2021-2025 covers approximately 60,585 hectares of coffee, 8,500 hectares of pepper and 8,167 hectares of fruit trees, involving coffee, pepper alongside fruit enterprises alongside local authorities. The programme has helped establish production-chain linkages connecting farmers with enterprises, generating practical benefits for the province, coffee industry and local residents, while reinforcing ties between businesses as well as farmers across production and export chains.
PPC Vice Chairman, comrade Nguyen Thien Van proposed that IDH evaluate alongside consider expanding the Dak Lak Sustainable Landscape Programme for 2026-2030, with emphasis placed on sustainable production, natural-resource conservation and increasing benefits for participating stakeholders along with local communities. He also suggested that IDH identify priority areas requiring support in the coming period to deliver greater benefits to residents, especially vulnerable groups, while contributing to development of coffee, pepper and other key provincial commodities.
