The Dak Lak Provincial Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation (STIDT)  recently held a meeting to assess the progress under the 100-day action plan aimed at removing bottlenecks while improving digital transformation (DX) effectiveness province-wide.

After 42 days of implementing the 100-day action plan, the provincial overall progress has remained broadly on track. Of the 58 specific tasks being monitored, 12 have been completed, 43 are on schedule, and 3 are overdue.

At the meeting, delegates focused on solutions to technical bottlenecks; completing the digitisation of Party member records; finalising the provincial project on developing human resources for STIDT; accelerating the appraisal of support policies for specialised personnel, and urgently reviewing the causes behind delayed tasks to proactively address them.

In concluding remarks, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for STIDT, urged agencies coupled with units to shift from implementation to completion, alongside from reporting progress to counting tangible outputs. In particular, they must resolve all overdue tasks; complete the digital economy development project; fully implement support policies for DX and cybersecurity personnel; as well as review and consolidate the IT, science along with technology workforce, especially at grassroots level. Simultaneously, they must improve the quality of online public services, using citizen convenience as the key measure while adequating equipment and information security as well as developing data systems.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested faster disbursement for DX projects, stricter enforcement discipline, stepped-up efforts to promote “digital literacy for all”, strict compliance with reporting and communications requirements, combined with targeted mobilisation of resources to tackle the eight major challenges. Alongside strong political determination and the “6 clarities” principle, the province must deliver substantive improvements, improve public service quality, enhance governance effectiveness as well as strengthen local development capacity.
