As part of activities marking Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026, Krong Pac Commune organised a series of high-profile trade, cultural and tourism events, creating fresh momentum for building while positioning Krong Pac durian in the market.
Durian promotion and commercialisation in Krong Pac have gained strong momentum this year, driven by digital transformation as well as a more transparent, market-oriented approach. A notable highlight was the first on-site durian auction, held on July 25, with auctioned lots reaching a total value of 23.8 billion VND.
Alongside live auctions, digital commerce has continued to gain traction through livestream sales featuring local officials, KOLs and durian growers. In just under two hours on air, nearly 4 tonnes of durians were ordered by customers nationwide.

Addressing directly on the livestream to promote local agricultural products, comrade Lai Duc Dai, Chairman of the Krong Pac Commune People’s Committee and Head of the festival organising committee, said the participation of commune leaders alongside farmers along with KOLs demonstrated a strong commitment to product quality and traceability. He added that the approach would help Krong Pac’s green-skinned, golden-fleshed durians strengthen their market position while building lasting trust among domestic coupled with international consumers.
A taste of local culinary heritage
The series of activities held in response to the festival in Krong Pac also stood out for its vibrant cultural together with culinary events, which fostered community connections.
A highlight was the Culinary Preparation and Display Contest, bringing together 22 villages along with hamlets across the locality. Featuring traditional cultural identities of local ethnic communities, the exhibition space drew thousands of residents together with visitors who came to sample dishes and enjoy hands-on experiences. The event laid groundwork for Krong Pac to develop higher-value agricultural chains while linking farming with experiential tourism services.
The “Durian Foodie” minigame added further excitement. Beyond providing entertainment, engaging experience, it provided a natural way to introduce visitors from near as well as far to the distinctive aroma and flavour of Krong Pac durians.
Comrade Tran Van Hao, Vice Chairman of the Krong Pac Commune People’s Committee, said festival activities had helped promote Krong Pac’s image, forge stronger links among agriculture, trade combined with tourism, while raising the value of local products. He expressed hope that existing linkages would be maintained, product quality further improved, food safety and traceability, alongside greater use of digital technology and e-commerce applied more extensively in agricultural promotion coupled with sales.
