In response to Politburo Resolution No. 57 on advancing science and technology, innovation together with national digital transformation, schools province-wide have stepped up scientific and technical research alongside efforts to improve teaching as well as learning quality. These activities provide an environment for students to develop creative thinking and turn their ideas into practical products.
Nguyen Hue High School (Tuy Hoa Ward) has launched a movement to promote scientific and technical research, encouraging students to explore alongside innovate. The school maintains a Scientific and Technical Research Club, which meets every Sunday under teachers' guidance. Students are encouraged to put forward ideas drawn from their studies coupled with everyday experiences, exchange views, discuss and critically assess proposals before selecting suitable research topics. Teachers then help them define research objectives along with methodologies, draw up plans and assign tasks to turn their ideas into scientific products.

At Hoang Viet Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary School (Tan An Ward), scientific coupled with technical research have been promoted alongside STEM education. Beyond regular lessons, the school's Innovation Space remains open outside class hours, allowing students to conduct independent research, exchange ideas and seek teachers' support. The school has also equipped the space with computers to facilitate students’ exploration while testing AI models.
Teacher Le Thi Hoang Phuong said the school receives numerous student proposals each year and provides guidance as well as support to develop them into specific projects. It also organises an in-house scientific and technical research competition, giving students the opportunity to present their ideas, explain alongside defend their scientific basis and hone their critical thinking together with English-language presentation skills.
Building competencies through practical research
Beyond providing an intellectual platform, scientific and technical research also helps students integrate knowledge across different subjects while developing independent thinking, strengthening their analytical and problem-solving abilities, and improving their teamwork skills.
Student Le Trong Truyen, head of the Scientific and Technical Research Club at Nguyen Hue High School, shared: “Through participating in the club, I have gained experience in structured research activities while developing my teamwork, information-gathering and problem-solving skills. Many ideas may seem simple at first, but closer investigation often reveals issues that need to be addressed, making me even more interested as well as eager to explore.”

At Hoang Viet School, the scientific and technical research movement has also yielded notable achievements. In both 2024 coupled with 2025, the school's students won first prizes at provincial level along with second prizes at national level. In 2026, they secured two provincial first prizes, followed by one second prize alongside one third prize at the national competition. Notably, at the 2026 World Invention and Innovation Olympic, held in the Republic of Korea, the school's students won two gold medals.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training said that promoting scientific along with technical research among students was a practical measure to translate the spirit of Politburo Resolution No. 57 into the education sector. In the 2026 - 2027 academic year, the education sector will continue to encourage schools to foster creative learning environments, expand experiential learning, practical activities and research, while focusing on identifying and nurturing talented students, creating favourable conditions for them to develop their abilities and apply their knowledge to real-world problems.
