Through trade promotion fairs, many provincial agricultural products have established partnerships with counterparts from Japan, Singapore, China, South Korea, Germany, etc. A prime example is 2-9 Dak Lak Import-Export Company Limited (Simexco Daklak).
According to company representative, its coffee products have currently been exported to more than 100 foreign markets, ranking among the top 5 largest coffee and pepper exporters in Vietnam. This outcome was achieved thanks to the networking efforts over the past 32 years through promotional events alongside trade connections both domestically and internationally that the company participated in.
Since the beginning of the year, the Dak Lak Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (under the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade) has coordinated, organized, as well as disseminated information on numerous trade promotion programs; encouraged and facilitated businesses, production facilities, along with cooperatives to participate in trade conferences, product consumption networking events, fairs, and seminars, etc. Notable example is supporting businesses and cooperatives to participate in the Spring Fair in Hanoi together with the Vietnam-Laos Trade and Tourism Fair in Laos; as well as a Trade and Tourism Fair was organized showcasing typical products of Dak Lak province in 2026, attracting 90 businesses, cooperatives, alongside OCOP entities participating with 200 booths, etc.
Emphasizing the importance of trade promotion and supply-demand connection activities for goods, PPC Vice Chairman, comrade Dao My stated that this is a necessary activity to create a trading and connection environment among businesses, as well as promote and introduce local specialty products.
“Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has chosen Dak Lak province as the venue for many large-scale trade promotion activities, which is an opportunity for businesses to showcase products to other provinces along with partners worldwide, to invite investors to exploit the value of products from the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions in general, and Dak Lak province in particular, and to promote the development of export goods. In coming period, the province will coordinate with relevant departments to propose to the Ministry of Industry and Trade the organization of larger-scale trade promotion programs to exploit advantages alongside potential, bringing the provincial products to countries around the world”, said comrade Dao My.
