Launching the land clearance campaign for the Coastal Road project

The PPC has recently launched the campaign of “30 days and nights of intensive land clearance” for the Coastal Road Project, aiming to remove bottlenecks in land clearance, accelerate construction progress, while ensuring the disbursement of public investment funds. Attending the ceremony was comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, PPC Chairman.

The Coastal Road Project has a total length of 25.47 km and a total investment of 3,825 billion VND from the central alongside provincial budgets. The route passes through two wards of Binh Kien and Xuan Dai, as well as three communes of Tuy An Dong, O Loan, and Tuy An Nam. The project is divided into three component projects; of which, two projects totalling  22.07 km have been implemented, while component project 3, with a length of 3.4 km, is completing investment preparation procedures. Despite achieving some initial outcomes, the land clearance progress remains slow compared to requirements, affecting the overall project schedule.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the provincial eastern region, together with the Chairmen of the People’s Committees of Binh Kien, Tuy An Nam, Tuy An Dong, and O Loan localities signed a commitment on compensation along with land clearance work for the Provincial Coastal Road Project.

Accordingly, the campaign will take place from May 4th to June 4th, 2026, with the goal of completing an additional 1.9 km in the first 10 days, bringing the cumulative total to 17.22 km (77.74%); reaching 19.09 km (87%) by the end of the campaign and striving to complete 100% of the land clearance work no later than August 31st, 2026. The remaining 0.95 km North of An Hai bridge, passing through Tuy An Dong commune, will be handed over before June 30th, 2026.

In his directive speech and campaign launch, PPC Chairman, comrade Do Huu Huy requested that departments, agencies, combined with localities identify this as a key political task for 2026; the heads are fully responsible for the implementation progress in their respective areas. Land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement must be implemented synchronously, ensuring openness, transparency, as well as compliance with the legal regulations. Those who comply well should be promptly commended and rewarded; those who intentionally refuse to comply will be resolutely dealt with according to regulations. The forces participating in the campaign must closely monitor the area, understand each specific case, alongside promptly resolve any arising difficulties or obstacles; strengthen inspecting as well as supervising the progress, and strictly handle cases of irresponsibility affecting the overall progress. For investors and construction units, it is necessary to proactively mobilize maximum resources, organize construction as soon as the land is available, ensure the progress along with quality of the project; strive to disburse 100% of the 2026 allocated capital plan.
