During the recent years, urban areas in the province have been taking on increasingly modern and attractive appearances thanks to synchronized infrastructure investment.

In Tuy Hoa ward, Ho Son regulating lake not only plays a role in regulating water and reducing flooding but has also been developed into an ecological space alongside green park in the city centre. Concurrently, Tuy Hoa beach park is a clear example of effectively exploiting the advantages of the coastal area. In particular, Nghinh Phong Tower has become an architectural symbol of Tuy Hoa urban. Besides its aesthetic value, the structure also serves as a space for organizing cultural and artistic events, creating a highlight as well as a unique feature of Tuy Hoa land.

According to architect Tran Ngoc Chinh, former Deputy Minister of Construction, Chairman of the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association, the coastal cities in the Eastern Dak Lak province have formed their own unique identity with a system of parks, green spaces, harmonious landscapes, together with a spacious living environment, which is a rare advantage for competing and attracting domestic as well as international investors.

In the provincial western region, the central urban areas are also gradually transforming towards modernity, playing a leading role in development. Some typical projects that have been along with are being invested in construction include: Project to renovate sidewalks with natural stone paving on roads (Buon Ma Thuot and Tan An wards); Vo Van Kiet park (Thanh Nhat ward) and Nguyen Tat Thanh park (Buon Ma Thuot ward), etc. In addition, commercial, service, alongside social housing projects have contributed to restructuring the urban space in a more harmonious and inclusive direction.

Building smart urban

Local authorities are accelerating digital infrastructure investment, gradually building smart urban models. The widespread telecommunications network, digital platforms, combined with traffic surveillance cameras have contributed to improving management and operational efficiency. In particular, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and IoT technology application in urban together with traffic management is opening new avenues, optimizing operations, while enhancing safety and urban service quality.

Comrade Tran Duc Nhat, Chairman of the Tan Lap Ward People’s Committee, stated that Tan Lap ward prioritizes standardizing processes, digitizing records, promoting online public services, and strengthening public service discipline. Simultaneously, they are developing digital infrastructure, on-site reporting channels, while applying data and technology (including appropriate AI) to ensure quick, accurate, as well as transparent processing, aiming to build a modern, dynamic, and livable Tan Lap in the digital age.

In Tuy Hoa ward, virtual reality applications are expected to create novel experiences for tourists at Nhan Tower, Ngoc Lang craft village, and Tuy Hoa beach park. Smart service urban areas alongside modern local markets are also gradually taking shape, contributing to positioning the brand “Tuy Hoa - a smart and friendly destination”.

Comrade Dao Bao Minh, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Tuy Hoa Ward Party Committee, affirmed: The locality is promoting the digital technology application to build a smart city, better serve residents together with businesses, aiming to form a modern, green, and sustainable urban ecosystem.

The transformation process of Dak Lak provincial urban areas is showing a clear orientation: infrastructure as the foundation, technology as the driving force, along with people as the center for rapid and sustainable development.
