Smooth journeys on this modern, expansive route not only shorten geographical distances but also create fresh momentum for trade, logistics and economic growth across the South Central Coast along with Central Highlands.
The North - South Expressway has quickly become the preferred choice for numerous long-haul drivers in its first days of operation. Coach buses, trucks, container vehicles and private automobiles alike have all recognised the advantages of travelling on a modern, spacious alongside well-surfaced roadway.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a container truck driver operating on the North - South route, said that journeys along National Highway 1 previously required considerable time due to residential areas, winding mountain passes and frequent localised congestion. Since the expressway opened, travel has become faster as well as more convenient.
Not only transport operators, but many residents have also taken opportunity to experience newly inaugurated route. Along the corridor, road signs, lighting systems, median barriers and other traffic safety facilities have been installed in a coordinated manner, helping to ensure safer travel.

Alongside the convenience and improved traffic circulation, the newly opened expressway has also underscored the importance of maintaining high traffic safety standards. Since opening to traffic, police have intensified patrols combined with guidance efforts, while officers stationed at key interchanges work around the clock to support motorists and promptly address any emerging situations.
Expressway operators have maintained round-the-clock monitoring and incident response teams, supported by a network of surveillance cameras, electronic information boards together with traffic guidance systems to ensure uninterrupted operations along the route.
According to PPC Vice Chairman, comrade Truong Cong Thai, the project is not only of special significance for infrastructure development but also creates new opportunities for regional connectivity and investment attraction. “When transport becomes more convenient as well as goods move more efficiently, opportunities for local development will also expand,” he said.
