Vietnam's private sector economy: Institutional breakthroughs and public-private partnerships

On June 26, as part of the Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference, Dak Lak PPC, in coordination with the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association (VYEA), organised the 2026 Vietnam Private Sector Forum (VPSF), Dak Lak Local Dialogue, themed "Vietnam's Private Sector economy: Institutional breakthroughs and public-private partnerships".

In opening remarks, comrade Dang Hong Anh, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, and VYEA Chairman, emphasised that the forum aims to foster a transparent business environment alongside a flexible coordination mechanism.

Regarding Dak Lak, he said the province should enhance the agricultural value through deep processing, brand development, expanded e-commerce, together with agricultural tourism rooted in indigenous cultural values. Simultaneously, it should strengthen collaboration among the State, enterprises, scientists, and financial institutions.

Delegates heard presentations on: Dak Lak in the Data Era - From a Regional Raw Material Hub to a Value Chain Coordination Centre for Vietnam along with Southeast Asia's Agricultural Sector; Institutional Breakthroughs and Public - Private Synergy, Dak Lak as Southeast Asia's Agricultural Economy Hub with Comprehensive Digital Infrastructure; combined with Improving the Investment and Business Environment to Mobilise Private Sector Resources for the Implementation of Dak Lak provincial Planning.

The forum also featured a dialogue session between the provincial business community coupled with representatives of the VYEA, local authorities and experts. Participating enterprises shared recommendations as well as proposed solutions to improve policies and strengthen private sector development in Dak Lak.

As part of the forum, the VYEA, the Dak Lak PPC together with the Vietnam Golden Star Club signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen investment promotion, support enterprises alongside develop the entrepreneurial community.

Addressing the forum, comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Dak Lak PPC Chairman, underscored the significance of the dialogue in promoting private sector development in line with the provincial growth objectives, underpinned by science along with technology, digital transformation and green transition.

Accordingly, Dak Lak aims to achieve annual GRDP growth of at least 11% during the 2026 - 2030 period, while shifting its development model from resource-based growth towards one powered by technology, data, and high-quality human resources.

The province is prioritising investment attraction in four strategic sectors: high-tech industry, manufacturing as well as processing, renewable energy, and logistics, capitalising on its strategic position connecting the Central Highlands with the coast. The provincial government remains committed to building a service-oriented administration, ensuring a transparent combined with stable investment environment, while accompanying enterprises in turning investment commitments into tangible projects in the coming period.
