As part of the 2026 Dak Lak Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference, Dak Lak PPC hosted a seminar on digital transformation (DX) alongside sustainable business ecosystem development on June 26 in Tuy Hoa ward.
Connected online to all 102 communes and wards province-wide, the seminar brought together provincial leaders, representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology (S&T), departments, agencies along with local authorities, alongside scientists, experts and wider business community.

In opening remarks, the Provincial Party Secretary, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed that Dak Lak would further improve the investment environment, expand modern as well as synchronised digital infrastructure, promote open data sharing, refine mechanisms and policies supporting enterprises. He expressed the hope for receiving continued cooperation from the S&T Ministry, research institutes, universities, experts together with technology enterprises in building the provincial digital business ecosystem.
The Provincial Party Secretary called on participants to propose solutions to accelerate comprehensive DX in agriculture, develop commune-level digital economy models tailored to rural areas and ethnic minority communities, foster an innovative start-up ecosystem alongside a high-quality technology workforce, and ensure cybersecurity.
During the seminar, organisers presented papers covering the commune-level digital economy development; advanced material technologies for the semiconductor industry; smart agriculture combined with Agriculture 5.0; the provincial DX strategic direction; digital economy development scenarios through 2030; and urban-industrial development models alongside mechanisms to attract technology investment in support of the provincial double-digit growth target.

A key highlight was a panel discussion involving representatives of government agencies, the research community, technology enterprises along with agricultural cooperatives. Discussions centred on barriers hindering enterprise DX; the role of business leaders in the DX process; developing commune-level digital economy models tailored to rural areas and ethnic minority communities; while applying digital data, product traceability, e-commerce and AI to enhance agricultural product value as well as strengthen enterprise competitiveness.
On this occasion, the organising committee presented awards to outstanding organisations and individuals in the 2026 Dak Lak Provincial Online Multiple-choice Contest on Science, Technology, Innovation alongside DX.
In her concluding remarks, PPC Standing Vice Chairwoman, comrade Ho Thi Nguyen Thao affirmed that DX, S&T, and innovation are key drivers of development coupled with essential to helping Dak Lak to achieve its double-digit growth target and sustainable development. She said the seminar had reinforced consensus on the pivotal role of the business community in DX, while opening up new opportunities for participation in high-tech supply chains, promoting the innovation start-up ecosystem, and strengthening cybersecurity.
The PPC Standing Vice Chairwoman directed provincial departments together with agencies to promptly translate the seminar outcomes into concrete action, focusing on improving mechanisms and policies for S&T coupled with DX; developing the commune-level digital economy; assisting enterprises and cooperatives in adopting digital technologies; attracting investment into high-tech industries; safeguarding data security; while building a substantive digital government, with the public and business satisfaction serving as a key measure of governance effectiveness.
