The Steering Committee for Implementing Dak Lak Province's Double-Digit Economic Growth Target for 2026-2030 (Steering Committee 152) recently convened its fourth meeting to review and revise the economic growth scenario for the H2 of 2026, aiming to achieve this year's growth target while carrying out key tasks within its mandate.

According to a report presented at the meeting, Dak Lak's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is estimated to have expanded by 7.84% in the H1 of 2026. State budget revenue reached 8.933 trillion VND, while export turnover was estimated at 1.577 billion US$. Achieving annual GRDP growth of more than 10% will require the province must record growth of approximately 11.65% in the H2 of the year. The PPC has issued an operational scenario setting key targets covering GRDP, investment, state budget revenue and total retail sales. Simultaneously, it is shifting from progress-based management towards results-oriented governance through a Dashboard monitoring system tracking performance across agencies and units.

As of July 24, the province had allocated more than 9.6 trillion VND in public investment capital, prioritising faster disbursement. Five Special Task Forces have been established to oversee site clearance for 51 key projects, while a 45-day intensive campaign has been launched covering 20 priority projects. The province has also reviewed 396 delayed or stalled projects, resolved 215 cases, and completed reorganisation alongside disposal of 4,209 surplus public land and property facilities.

During the meeting, participants analysed challenges slowing progress towards growth targets before proposing solutions to remove bottlenecks related to site clearance, investment procedures, public investment disbursement, as well as settlement of long-delayed projects, creating stronger momentum for economic expansion.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet stressed that achieving GRDP growth of more than 10% in 2026 requires every sector and level of government to shift decisively from schedule-based management towards results-oriented governance, with tangible outcomes as well as measurable contributions to economic growth serving as primary performance indicators. He also underscored accountability of agency heads in organising and delivering assigned responsibilities.

The Provincial Party Secretary instructed departments, sectors together with local authorities to focus on removing bottlenecks, speeding up public investment disbursement, accelerating site clearance, resolving long-delayed projects, while giving priority to projects capable of generating immediate growth. He also called for prompt allocation and effective use of available capital, along with stronger support for commune-level authorities in overcoming implementation challenges. Concurrently, he further urged agencies coupled with localities to strictly implement the principle of the "six clarities" including clear responsibilities, clear tasks, clear timelines, clear accountability, clear outcomes and clear authority while promptly recognising outstanding collectives and individuals, alongside taking firm disciplinary action against those responsible for delays, negligence or avoidance of responsibility, particularly agency heads.
