Dak Lak province estimates welcoming 5.33 million tourists in the first half of 2026

In the first half of 2026, Dak Lak provincial tourism industry continued to receive numerous positive signs with impressive growth in visitor arrivals and revenue, affirming the effectiveness of promoting, advertising combined with improvements in tourism products and service quality.

According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province estimated to have greeted 5.33 million visitor arrivals, reaching 56.11% of the annual plan, an increase of 37.19% compared to the same period in 2025; exceeding the first-half growth scenario by 15.12%. In particular, international tourists are estimated to reach 78,500 turns, an increase of 34.65% compared to the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 9,602 billion VND, equivalent to 51% of the annual plan, representing a 37.86% increase year on year, while surpassing the growth scenario by 7.77%.

Notably, during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration holidays (April 25th to 27th, 2026), it is estimated to welcome 123,500 visitor turns, generating over 180 billion VND in tourism revenue. Continuing this growth trend, during the 51st Anniversary of the South Region Liberation and National Reunification (April 30th, 1975 - April 30th, 2026) alongside International Labor Day (May 1st), the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized numerous activities coupled with events, attracting approximately 350,000 visitor arrivals; achieving total tourism revenue estimated at 347 billion VND, a 31.93% increase compared with the corresponding period last year.

Alongside tourism stimulus activities, the socialization task continues to be promoted. Art units under the Department have organized numerous exhibitions, cultural heritage education along with experience programs, art performances, as well as film screenings to serve the residents and tourists, especially in remote, mountainous, and border areas, contributing to disseminating local cultural values coupled with enhancing the attractiveness of Dak Lak tourism.

The positive outcomes in the first six months of 2026 have created an important foundation for Dak Lak provincial tourism industry to continue achieving its growth targets; and affirm its increasing appeal on the Vietnamese tourism map as well.
