The Dak Lak PPC has approved a plan launching a 30-day intensive campaign to digitise, standardise, update and integrate data on durian growing area codes alongside packing facilities into provincial agricultural product traceability system.

Running from August 7 to September 7, 2026, campaign will be implemented in three phases, comprising data standardisation coupled with digital infrastructure preparation; field data collection as well as digitisation; and integration with the national system, followed by acceptance alongside final review. The initiative aims to remove bottlenecks in growing area code management, strengthen product traceability while supporting sustainable durian exports.

Under the plan, the province will mobilise maximum resources to resolve outstanding issues relating to growing area and packing facility codes, while developing an integrated digital database to be integrated into the Dak Lak Digital Agricultural Map and connected to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment's Agricultural Product Traceability System. Implementation will ensure seamless data connectivity without creating additional administrative procedures, while maintaining strict quality control together with information security.

Priority will be given to reviewing alongside digitising 280 growing area codes covering approximately 7,500 hectares, along with 42 export-qualified packing facilities. Simultaneously, the province will complete digital records for 338 growing area codes covering around 6,500 hectares alongside more than 93 packing facilities currently finalising procedures for official code issuance.

To ensure the campaign remains on schedule, the PPC has assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to take the lead in advising on the establishment of mobile digital action teams. These teams will coordinate closely with local authorities and relevant agencies to collect, verify, standardise as well as update field data. Local authorities will be responsible for reviewing durian cultivation areas, verifying growing area information, while working directly with farmers, cooperatives and enterprises throughout the digitisation process.

Simultaneously, the province will continue upgrading its digital infrastructure, allocating necessary resources, and strengthening inter-agency coordination to ensure secure, stable combined with uninterrupted data connectivity. Following the campaign, growing area database will be maintained and updated regularly in line with the principles of being accurate, complete, clean as well as continuously updated, providing a solid digital foundation for long-term management, production as well as export activities.

The PPC has instructed departments, agencies together with local authorities to formulate detailed implementation plans and allocate the necessary resources. They have also been tasked with intensifying public communication to raise awareness among farmers, cooperatives alongside enterprises about data digitisation, growing area codes along with agricultural product traceability.
