The Dak Lak 4x50MW Wind Power Complex comprises four plants: Krong Buk 1, Krong Buk 2, Cu Ne 1 and Cu Ne 2, with a combined capacity of 200 MW. Construction began in March 2021, making it the provincial largest foreign direct investment (FDI) wind power complex, with total investment exceeding 7.85 trillion VND (approximately 320 million US$).
Designed to generate around 640 million kWh annually for the national power system, the complex is expected to generate approximately 1.156 trillion VND in annual revenue and contribute more than 115 billion VND to the local budget. Once operational, it will increase clean power supply for the national energy system, strengthen energy security across the Central and Central Highlands regions, generate a sustainable revenue stream for the local budget, and create jobs for local workers.
Addressing the inauguration, comrade Dao My, Dak Lak PPC Vice Chairman, said the province has consistently identified energy as a foundational sector, pursuing balanced, efficient and sustainable development without compromising environmental protection for short-term growth. During 2026-2030, Dak Lak plans to develop green industry alongside high-tech applications. The province expects the 200MW wind power complex to lay the groundwork for an energy-industry-services ecosystem, while supporting expansion in deep processing and logistics.
