To stimulate consumer demand while supporting economic growth in the final months of 2026, the Department of Industry and Trade (DOIT) is rolling out large-scale promotional programmes province-wide.
Since the beginning of the year, provincial market prices have remained generally stable, while purchasing power has continued to hold up well. In the first eight months of 2026, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue province-wide reached more than 143,251 billion VND, up 16.94% year on year. Of this, retail sales of goods reached 118,214 billion VND, accounting for 82.52%, an increase of 16.11% year on year.
Despite this positive growth, the industry and trade sector, together with major supermarket chains and business establishments, continues to roll out promotional campaigns to further stimulate demand. Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu, Deputy Director of the DOIT, said the department had proactively drawn up implementation plans as well as encouraged enterprises to roll out promotions simultaneously across the province, combining traditional commerce with e-commerce. It has also integrated trade fairs, exhibitions and local product showcases, providing opportunities to introduce provincial products to domestic as well as international visitors.

The first event, Buon Ma Thuot Mega Sales 2026, took place from September 2 to 6, featuring around 110 booths. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Director of Bigbang Hang Hieu Trading - Services Co., Ltd., said that throughout the event, the organising committee and enterprises rolled out a wide range of promotions coupled with gifts, including discounts reaching 80%. The event attracted around 20,000 visitors and generated approximately 5.5 billion VND in revenue.
Following that success, the DOIT is implementing the 2026 Focused Promotion Month Programme, running from August 25 to September 25 and combining traditional commerce with e-commerce, drawing strong participation from enterprises.
To achieve the objectives of stimulating demand, supporting economic growth and promoting Vietnamese goods, all participating products are subject to strict controls on quality along with prices.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu said: “The DOIT requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to coordinate in disseminating the 2026 Focused Promotion Month Programme of Dak Lak Province among local organisations alongside individuals. They are also encouraged to support enterprises, cooperatives and production establishments in stimulating consumer demand, showcasing local products as well as meeting local consumer needs.”
