Dak Lak provincial business connection with Japanese partners

As part of Dak Lak provincial investment alongside trade promotion mission to Japan, the Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Vietnam Trade Office Branch in Osaka, organized the aforementioned conference on September 17th at Vietnam Consulate General in Osaka.

In his opening remarks, comrade Tu Thai Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Board, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, highlighted the provincial potential in agriculture, deep processing, renewable energy, logistics infrastructure, industrial parks and clusters, industry, cultural tourism, combined with trade. The province aims to foster cooperation with Japanese enterprises within the areas of high-tech agriculture, agricultural product processing along with preservation, the food industry, agricultural value chain development, technology transfer, logistics, trade, market expansion. The priority is given to projects that are technologically appropriate, efficient, in conjunction with environmentally friendly, while also generating added value and employment.

The province committed to improving the investment environment, administrative procedures, as well as supporting businesses with information access, networking, together with trade promotion. It also pledges to assist in enhancing capabilities to meet standards, building brands, ensuring traceability, combined with developing export markets.

At the conference, the delegates were briefed on Dak Lak provincial potential, strengths, along with crucial products, while the provincial business representatives presented their operational capabilities, product standards, cooperation needs regarding Japanese partners. A B2B-networking session featuring five thematic tables, focusing on import-export, distribution, technology transfer, logistics, in coordination with investment partnerships, opened up numerous opportunities for substantive coupled with effective cooperation in the near future.

Earlier, on the morning of September 16th, the Dak Lak provincial delegation held a working session with the Wakayama provincial government as well as visited Sowa Kajuen JSC (Sowa Fruits) in Arida city to study its operational model. Through the visit, the delegation gained valuable insights into technology application, farmer linkages, value chain optimization, together with local agricultural branding; thereby studying for implementation feasibility in Dak Lak province.

The provincial delegation also met with the Vietnam Consulate General in Osaka coupled with representatives of the Vietnamese Association in Kansai. Comrade Tu Thai Giang expressed his hope that the Consulate General would continue to support the province in connecting investment opportunities, promoting trade, introducing local agricultural products to the Japanese market along with showcasing the provincial tourism in conjunction with identity.

Consul General Nguyen Truong Son highly commended the provincial proactive alongside practical visit. He affirmed that the Consulate General would stand by Dak Lak province, actively assist in strengthening connections as well as realizing concrete cooperation programs with local governments together with the Kansai regional business community.
