Coffee 15 One Member Co., Ltd. under Military Region 5 has recently obtained organic certification under United States standards (ORGANIC.USDA) and certification of compliance with the European Union (EU) organic regulations.

A total area of 21.24 ha has been certified, covering fresh coffee cherries, green coffee beans, roasted coffee beans and roasted ground coffee. This also makes the company the first coffee enterprise in Dak Lak to obtain organic certification simultaneously under both US coupled with EU standards.

To meet certification requirements, Coffee 15 One Member Co., Ltd. had to satisfy stringent standards throughout the entire production chain, from cultivation and harvesting through processing, packaging as well as record management. In the raw material area, crops must undergo a three-year conversion period to organic production before becoming eligible for certification in the fourth year.

As part of the assessment process, the enterprise was required to submit complete records, cultivation logs and management procedures in accordance with organic standards. Leaf and fruit samples from the production area were also tested to ensure they contained no residues of plant protection products or heavy metals alongside complied with food safety requirements in the US and EU markets.

Obtaining the two international organic certifications simultaneously marks an important milestone for Coffee 15 One Member Co., Ltd., affirming its approach to developing raw material areas through clean and sustainable production while enhancing the value of coffee beans and its ability to meet stringent international market standards. It also opens up opportunities for the enterprise’s organic coffee products to gain deeper access to demanding export markets.

Organic coffee production development in compliance with international standards is considered a new step forward in enhancing the value of Dak Lak coffee products in domestic as well as international markets.
