On the morning of September 12, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and PPC Chairman, comrade Do Huu Huy attended the sixth Business Coffee programme of 2026, themed “Science and technology, innovation and digital transformation”, organised by the Department of Finance in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology (S&T) and the Dak Lak Entrepreneurs Association.

At the programme, representatives of the Department of S&T briefed the business community on enterprise support policies across five key areas. Specifically, for technology development, the State budget provides funding covering 50% to 100% of labour, materials and equipment costs for scientific research tasks. For digital transformation (DX), small and medium-sized enterprises are eligible for support covering up to 50% of consulting and digital solution rental or procurement costs, capped at 20-100 million VND per year.

For intellectual property, support for domestic registration costs is capped at 27 million VND and international registration costs at 54 million VND. Enterprises are also eligible for funding covering up to 80% of the costs of adopting quality standards such as VietGAP, along with support for testing key export products. Beyond these areas, S&T enterprises and innovative start-ups are supported with costs for premises rental, equipment use, technology transfer and trade promotion.

Departments and sectors also shared the results of DX across various fields; plans to implement three major tasks focused on developing the digital economy, completing data infrastructure and establishing a regional innovation centre; as well as efforts to implement the “three-party” cooperation model involving the State, schools and enterprises to promote practical technology transfer.

During discussions, enterprises shared the advantages of applying AI, policy mechanisms to attract human resources in innovation and DX, alongside solutions to remove barriers these areas for the business community.

Addressing the programme, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and PPC Chairman, comrade Do Huu Huy emphasised the role of technology for local enterprises, while pointing out barriers including limited capital and human resources, as well as reluctance to change.

The PPC Chairman encouraged enterprises to invest in licensed technologies, strengthen linkages with authorities and research institutes, and support one another, thereby renewing their mindset, turning challenges into opportunities and pursuing  sustainable development.
