Non-agricultural land accounts for 9.28%, below the national average of around 20%. Unused land accounts for 1.57%, compared with the national average of nearly 3%. This indicates that the province has made relatively effective use of its available land resources.
The 2025 land statistics will be used consistently province-wide. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for providing information, documents combined with data on the 2025 land statistics to relevant departments, agencies, organisations and individuals in accordance with the law. It must also integrate as well as update the statistics in the provincial land database.
