On the morning of October 20, the Dak Lak PPC held a working session with investors on the study and development of renewable energy projects in the province.

At the meeting, Pacifico Energy Vietnam Co., Ltd. together with investment partner proposed an onshore wind power project with a projected total investment of more than 15 trillion VND.

Once the project is included in the revised Power Development Plan VIII by the competent authorities, the investors pledged to ensure sufficient financial, technical and technological resources, maintain the planned implementation schedule coupled with work towards commercial operation in 2029. Simultaneously, they also committed to fully complying with legal requirements, maintaining close coordination with relevant agencies, and providing all documents required by authorities.

Comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Dak Lak PPC Chairman, stressed that investors’ surveys alongside proposals for renewable energy projects are in line with the provincial potential and development orientation.

Dak Lak fully encourages capable, experienced investors to develop projects in this field. The province is committed to providing support while creating favourable conditions for investors implementing projects locally. However, project development must follow the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s orientation, which calls for encouraging the addition to the power plan of energy projects with favourable conditions for grid connection and land availability, as well as strong potential for rapid implementation.

Investors, meanwhile, are required to conduct comprehensive, clear assessments of wind potential and other relevant factors. During the project proposal along with implementation process, they must closely coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to ensure compliance with regulations on investment, planning, land, environment, national defence, security and other applicable laws.
