The growth momentum in production is creating greater scope for enterprises in Dak Lak to innovate their production methods, improve productivity and proactively seek markets. From technology investment coupled with management digitalisation to trade promotion, enterprises are gradually enhancing their competitiveness and expanding outlets for their products.
Production activity has recently been vibrant at factories, cooperatives and industrial parks province-wide, contributing to a 15.01% increase in the Industrial Production Index (IIP) during the first nine months of the year. To address labour shortages alongside optimise production time, numerous enterprises have proactively adopted AI, automated production lines as well as digital management systems to reduce costs and improve productivity. Applying modern technology across different production stages has significantly improved product quality, enabling enterprises to meet stringent market requirements.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, Director of Viet Thang Production - Trading - Services Co., Ltd., said the company had invested in modern machinery coupled with technological equipment to manufacture high-quality footwear in a wide range of designs for different sectors and occupations. Thanks to the automation technology application, the enterprise has increased its production capacity from 3 million pairs of products per year to 7 million pairs per year alongside expanded its exports.
Accelerating product sales
To support enterprises in expanding product sales, the Department of Industry and Trade has facilitated their participation in trade promotion activities as well as connected them with major distribution networks operated by foreign corporations. Alongside organising trade promotion missions to potential domestic and international markets, the province has stepped up training in sales skills on digital platforms along with e-commerce, and created favourable conditions for enterprises coupled with cooperatives to expand their markets and increase the agricultural product value.

The effectiveness of supply-demand linkages and e-commerce trade promotion is becoming increasingly evident, helping accelerate sales of the provincial key agricultural products. This is clearly reflected in total retail sales of goods alongside consumer service revenue, which reached 163,203 billion VND in the first nine months, up 17.55%, while export turnover exceeded 2.3 billion USD, up 6.25% year on year. In addition, the widespread adoption of e-invoices, digital signatures and e-commerce platforms among Dak Lak enterprises shows a strong shift towards digital business practices.
Mr. Tran Van Khoa, Director of Nga Son Tofu Co., Ltd., said participation in supply-demand linkages and trade promotion programmes has given the enterprise more opportunities to access distribution systems, seek partners as well as expand its market.
Representatives of many enterprises said they had proactively prepared resources, raw materials, finance and technology, while developing contingency plans well in advance to meet their annual revenue targets. Although some difficulties remain in accessing capital and completing procedures, enterprises are leveraging digital platforms along with market opportunities to overcome these difficulties alongside achieve their targets.
