On the morning of August 16th, the Dak Lak Durian Culinary Festival 2026 opened at the Eco Palace complex under the theme “Unveiling the Great Highlands Flavors”.
Running from August 15th to 23rd, 2026, the festival features nearly 200 booths showcasing diverse specialties from across the country’s three regions, agricultural products, along with exquisite dishes made from durian.
As part of the event, visitors can attend the preparation in conjunction with display of 102 distinctive dishes from Dak Lak durian; the “Durian and Fire” show; the “Durian Master” contest; cocktail mixing demonstrations; street art performances; traditional music, acoustic, circus acts, alongside magic shows; combined with various engaging interactive and entertainment activities. Each activity offers its own unique charm, collectively creating a vibrant journey to explore Dak Lak provincial cuisine, culture together with people.

Also during this morning ceremony, the Organizing Board presented awards for the culinary contest held on August 15th, which saw competition among 20 teams along with 60 chefs from provinces and cities nationwide. The project to prepare coupled with display 102 distinctive dishes made from Dak Lak durian was recognized alongside awarded a Vietnam Record Certificate by the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings).
Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang Co, General Director of Dam San Investment, Tourism, and Trading Co., Ltd., noted that durian is currently one of Dak Lak provincial crucial agricultural products. Beyond its value in production in conjunction with exports, the durian holds significant potential in food processing, culinary arts, combined with tourism.
The 2026 Dak Lak Durian Culinary Festival aims to showcase diverse durian cuisine coupled with create a platform for chefs, artisans, businesses, alongside the residents to interact, present products, as well as forge partnerships. Beyond a featured culinary destination, the festival helps elevate the value combined with reinforce the local durian brand in both domestic and international markets.
