A working delegation led by Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and Head of Dak Lak National Assembly Deputies Delegation, recently conducted field surveys at several community-based tourism destinations across the province.
The delegation inspected Co Thach Hill area in Tuy An Dong Commune, visited Hon Yen scenic site in Nhon Hoi Hamlet, O Loan Commune, and examined a community tourism model associated with traditional fishing livelihoods at Long Thuy fishing village in Binh Kien Ward.

At each destination, representatives from local authorities, management units alongside tourism households introduced potential advantages, current tourism operations, as well as difficulties and obstacles affecting development of community-based tourism products.
Following field inspections, Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated outstanding potential and advantages relating to natural scenery, cultural identity, ecological resources alongside community life at surveyed destinations. He emphasised that community-based tourism development must align with preservation of indigenous cultural values, environmental protection, landscape conservation, alongside promotion of local residents’ central role.
Provincial Party Secretary requested local authorities together with relevant sectors to urgently study and formulate a comprehensive master plan for community tourism, while investing in check-in destinations, experiential spaces, traditional craft villages and production activities aimed at enriching visitor experiences as well as extending tourist stays.
Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet also stressed importance of strengthening tourism promotion across digital platforms, combined with professional communication campaigns involving KOLs and influential figures.

Regarding local communities, Provincial Party Secretary called for stronger public participation in building a civilised and welcoming tourism environment, with particular attention given to environmental sanitation combined with preservation oftraditional cultural heritage. Simultaneously, he requested authorities to review, plan and reorganise aquaculture zones, particularly coastal shrimp-farming areas, ensuring balance among economic growth, environmental protection along withsustainable tourism development.
