Nine memoranda of understanding on investment cooperation worth nearly VND 9 trillion signed

On August 16, as part of the Forum on connecting durian production and consumption towards a sustainable durian ecosystem, the Organising Committee witnessed the signing of nine memoranda of understanding (MoU) on cooperation, investment and development of a sustainable durian value chain in Dak Lak, with a combined value of nearly VND 9 trillion.

The MoUs covered research and investment in a Dak Lak agricultural product complex comprising a wholesale market, procurement centre, inspection and irradiation facilities, logistics, export and deep-processing facilities; the New Era Cold Storage Project; research and investment in a high-tech agricultural zone and a deep-processing industrial cluster; a biotechnology-based durian value chain linked to the Taiwan (China) market; construction of the Krong Nang agricultural wholesale market; investment cooperation in cold-storage infrastructure, a logistics centre and a deep-processing plant; an internationally standardised laboratory network coupled with a digital traceability system in Dak Lak; and a closed-loop value chain with product offtake commitments.

At the forum, enterprises and organisations providing seedlings, consultancy and technical support, banking services, agricultural inputs, growing areas, procurement, processing and distribution, as well as digitalisation solutions, also held signing ceremonies for memoranda of cooperation.

These included the Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute, Dak Lak Agricultural Extension Centre, Agribank - Dak Lak Branch, and companies such as Binh Dien Fertiliser, Hoang Long Vina, Hai Duong and Syngenta, the Cu M'gar High-Tech Agricultural Cooperatives Alliance, VNPT Dak Lak and Viettel Dak Lak.
