The Dak Lak Department of Agriculture and Environment recently held a working session with a delegation from Dan Sinh Industrial Development Co., Ltd. of Hubei Province, China, to discuss agricultural production and exports, as well as potential cooperation and investment in agriculture coupled with logistics province-wide.

Dan Sinh Industrial Development Co., Ltd. in Hubei is a 100 % state-owned enterprise ranked among China’s Top 500 companies, with annual revenue of around 500 billion yuan, equivalent to 74 billion US$.

At the session, representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Environment briefed the delegation on production, growing areas, packing facilities, cold storage, testing, processing activities combined with markets for several of Dak Lak’s key agricultural products exported to China.

Dak Lak’s agriculture sector and the company also exchanged information on durian production, consumption alongside exports, with a focus on developing raw-material areas, improving product quality, processing capacity, preservation and market connectivity.

The Chinese company also expressed interest in Dak Lak’s investment-attraction policies covering agriculture and logistics, as well as the provincial cooperation and investment potential.

As part of the working programme, the agriculture sector will support the Chinese company in surveying while learning more about agricultural raw-material areas, particularly durian-growing areas province-wide.
