Addressing the meeting, PPC Chairman, comrade Do Huu Huy called for determined efforts to accelerate public investment disbursement. Specifically, commune- and ward-level People’s Committees must conduct on-site inspections of major projects; strictly penalise or replace incapable contractors; take firm action against material quarry operators that hoard supplies, charge prices different from those publicly listed or use two sets of prices; as well as resolutely replace project owners or officials in charge if they lack management capacity.
The PPC Chairman also called for stronger efforts to prevent tax revenue losses and the resolute recovery of all additional revenue along with savings from expenditure, as well as disaster prevention and control funds, if they remain undistributed by December 31, 2026. The province must coordinate with major enterprises to assign disbursement targets for investment from non-state budget sources, aiming for fourth-quarter growth of 13.63%. It must also finalise the general master plan for Buon Ma Thuot Ward, which is expected to be announced on October 30, along with planning work for other localities.
Regarding preparations for the Provincial People’s Council’s regular year-end session, PPC leaders directed departments and agencies to promptly send relevant lists and implementation schedules, together with details of required content, processes and procedures, to the relevant departments; therefore, they can stay informed as well as take proactive action.
