Tightening the pace, clarifying responsibilities in implementing the growth scenario

The Provincial Steering Committee for Achieving Double-Digit Economic Growth held its fifth meeting under the chairmanship of comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Deputies Delegation and Head of the Steering Committee.

In the first nine months of 2026, Dak Lak’s economy maintained solid growth, with gross regional domestic product (GRDP) estimated at 124.392 trillion VND, up 8.22 % year on year. The services sector grew 9.01 %; while agriculture, forestry and fisheries expanded 5.98 %; industry coupled with construction posted growth of 9.07 %.

To achieve the Government’s target of annual GRDP growth of at least 10.02 % in 2026, the province has called for a sharper acceleration in the Q4, when GRDP growth needs to reach approximately 13.63 % year on year. For the final months of the year, management efforts will shift from monitoring targets and procedural progress towards tracking actual output, construction volumes, disbursed investment capital alongside the outcomes delivered by each task and project.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet asked the Steering Committee to regularly update the growth scenario and identify areas falling short of targets so that timely compensatory measures can be put in place. Departments, sectors together with localities must translate assigned tasks into specific actions under the “6 clarities” principle, clearly linking accountability of heads of agencies and units with progress alongside outcomes; while overcoming vague implementation and poor coordination.

Priority must be given to removing bottlenecks along with accelerating energy, transport, social housing, industrial cluster infrastructure and disaster-recovery projects. The province must also step up public investment disbursement, expedite projects that have already secured investment, boost agricultural production combined with processing, stimulate domestic consumption and tourism, as well as make effective use of available sources of budget revenue.

The Provincial Party Secretary stressed that actual results must serve as the key measure of performance. Inspection, supervision and KPI-based personnel assessment should be strengthened, with officials who fail to meet job requirements promptly reassigned or replaced. These measures are expected to bring about tangible improvements in implementation, helping the province achieve its 2026 growth target.
