A delegation from the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, led by comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, has conducted on-site inspections at Krong H’Nang, Song Ba Ha combined with Song Hinh hydropower plants to inspect electricity production, dam and reservoir safety management, alongside disaster prevention and control.
According to reports, during the first 10 months of 2026, the three plants generated a total of 859.849 million kWh of electricity, down 26.11% from the same period in 2025. The decline was mainly attributed to unfavourable weather and hydrological conditions, low rainfall across the river basins as well as reduced inflows into reservoirs, affecting electricity generation.
Regarding disaster prevention and control, the plants have implemented response plans, inspected vulnerable areas, maintained downstream warning systems along with coordinated the implementation of inter-reservoir operating procedures. Song Hinh Hydropower Plant is currently finalising its legal documentation, dam protection plan and emergency response plan in accordance with regulations.

| Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, acknowledging the achievements of Krong H’Nang Hydropower Plant. |
Following the inspections, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet acknowledged the plants’ efforts to maintain production, ensure electricity supply and proactively implement disaster prevention coupled with control measures. He also called on the plants to develop appropriate operating plans that balance infrastructure safety, power generation efficiency and downstream water demand.
With drought conditions forecast to become increasingly complex, he requested relevant departments and agencies work closely with the hydropower plants to review as well as formulate reservoir regulation and operation plans for different scenarios. Particular attention should be paid to ensuring water supplies for agricultural production, especially the winter-spring crop, while preventing water shortages in downstream areas.
The plants were also urged to proactively prepare for extreme weather events, ensure dam and reservoir safety while maintaining electricity supplies for production coupled with daily life. They should also continue researching and proposing renewable energy projects, including floating solar power.
