The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has ignited a strong aspiration for development while laying down breakthrough policy decisions that serve as a launchpad for the country’s new development journey. Guided by the action motto “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development”, the Congress not only shapes strategic objectives but also conveys a profound aspiration for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous and happy Vietnam, steadfastly advancing toward socialism.
A strategic vision for sustainable development
The documents of the 14th National Party Congress clearly affirm a strategic vision, setting goals for 2030 and further toward 2045, the centenary of the founding of the nation to transform Vietnam into a developed, high-income country with political stability, comprehensively improved living standards for the people, and an increasingly strong international standing.

| The 14th National Party Congress is a landmark historic event, ushering in a new era of strong national advancement for Vietnam. |
One of the key breakthroughs is the development of the economy in tandem with innovation and science and technology (S&T), which are regarded as the primary drivers of strong national growth. Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Bui Thanh Toan affirmed that the 14th National Party Congress marks an important milestone, further reaffirming the role of S&T, innovation and digital transformation as the main driving forces for Vietnam’s rapid and sustainable development as the nation enters a new era of growth.
Vietnamese culture and people are placed at the center of the development strategy. The Congress affirms that culture is both the spiritual foundation and a driving force for social progress, while the Vietnamese people are both the central actors and the decisive force in national construction and development.
The Congress also underscored the importance of a peaceful and stable environment, a strict rule-of-law system and social discipline, regarding them as prerequisites for sustainable development. Strengthening national autonomy and self-reliance, while enhancing Vietnam’s credibility and international standing, was placed on a par with socio-eco development, with the goal of building a nation that is both economically strong and politically stable.
Turning aspirations into action
The aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam is not only a strategic goal but also a call to action. Each Party committee, agency and every cadre and Party member must translate political resolve into concrete programmes, plans and outcomes; turning shared aspirations into tangible achievements across all areas of social life.
