Recalling the revolutionary tradition, comrade Cao Thi Hoa An stressed that the establishment of the first Communist Party cell in Phu Yen marked an important milestone in the history of the provincial Party organisation and local revolutionary movement. On October 5, 1930, the cell was established with nine Party members, led by comrade Phan Luu Thanh as Secretary. From then on, Party organisations along with the revolutionary movement in Phu Yen gradually developed, contributing alongside the rest of the country to the success of the August Revolution in 1945 and the national subsequent glorious victories.
Looking back on the 96-year journey, comrade Cao Thi Hoa An highlighted the lesson of the close relationship between the Party coupled with the people, stressing that all policies must stem from practical realities and the legitimate interests of the people, while cadres and Party members must stay close to, respect as well as listen to the people and serve them.
Comrade called on Party committees together with authorities at all levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organisations to continue educating people about revolutionary traditions as well as turn the historical site into a regular destination for cadres, Party members, Youth Union members, youths, students and residents, linking preservation with the promotion of its historical alongside cultural values. Simultaneously, she urged cadres and Party members, particularly those holding leadership positions, to uphold their sense of responsibility, match words with actions as well as honour their commitments through to completion, with public satisfaction and people’s improving quality of life serving as measures of work effectiveness.
On the occasion, delegates also attended the inauguration ceremony for the restoration and embellishment project at the Historical Site of the Establishment of the First Communist Party Cell in Phu Yen.
