Dak Lak PPC in coordination with Dan Tri Newspaper recently held an inauguration ceremony for the project delivering 50 flood-resistant floating houses to present 50 disadvantaged households in Dong Xuan along with Tuy An Bac communes.

The project aims to support disadvantaged households in areas frequently affected by natural disasters, providing residents with safe shelter during high-floodwaters time. In particular, 30 houses will be donated to Tuy An Bac communal residents while the remaining 20 presented to those in Dong Xuan commune.

Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, PPC Chairman, comrade Do Huu Huy, together with Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri Newspaper, comrade Pham Tuan Anh, presenting life jackets to flood-prone residents.

The total project cost is 2 billion VND, including contributions from Dan Tri Newspaper readers, Dong Xuan commune, alongside Tuy An Bac commune with amounts of 1.75 billion VND, 100 million VND, and 150 million VND respectively.

Addressing the ceremony, comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, combined with PPC Chairman, expressed sincere appreciation Dan Tri Newspaper, its readers, together with partner organizations for their concern coupled with support for residents in areas frequently affected by natural disasters.

PPC Chairman requested that local authorities in coordination with supported households regularly inspect, maintain, as well as use the floating houses for their intended purpose so that they are ready to be effective in the event of natural disasters. The provincial specialized agencies should continue to research coupled with evaluate the model’s practical effectiveness in order to replicate it in areas at risk of deep flooding alongside isolation.

On this occasion, in commemoration of the 79th War Invalids and Martyrs Day anniversary (July 27th, 1947 - July 27th, 2026), the program organizers also presented 70 gratitude gifts (1 million VND for each) to people, who rendered meritorious services to the revolution, in Dong Xuan, Tuy An Bac, along with Xuan Phuoc communes.
