Boosting exports to Halal market

The Department of Industry and Trade recently organized a seminar on promoting the export of Dak Lak’s crucial agricultural alongside seafood products to the Halal market, while also disseminating about the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA) coupled with the Vietnam-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in 2026.

At the seminar, experts together with provincial business representatives discussed the significance along with demands in the global Halal market, as well as future development directions for Vietnam’s Halal industry. Businesses updated their knowledge regarding food safety measures in conjunction with animal and plant quarantine requirements applicable to agricultural alongside food products destined for the Halal market. They also proposed solutions aimed at helping enterprises integrate into production coupled with supply chains serving the global Halal market.

Addressing the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade, emphasized that Vietnam has been actively implementing major international-integration policies, expanding economic coupled with trade relations, while improving the exploitation effectiveness into overseas markets. Alongside traditional export markets, proactively researching, accessing, in coordination with expanding into novel, high-potential markets is an urgent necessity for localities and businesses.
