By adopting a more practical along with flexible approach to trade promotion, the Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade is serving as a reliable bridge, supporting enterprises as well as OCOP entities in addressing market access challenges and enhancing local product competitiveness.

Since the beginning of 2026, the Department of Industry and Trade has successfully organised the Dak Lak Fair of Outstanding Rural Industrial Products and OCOP Products together with the Dak Lak Trade and Tourism Fair showcasing the provincial distinctive products.

In particular, at the 2026 Conference on the Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion, the industry coupled with trade sector made a strong impression with a large-scale exhibition space featuring more than 130 outstanding rural industrial products, OCOP products and export goods, along with a wide range of tourism images and materials for delegates alongside guests. Subsequently, the specialised durian and OCOP product exhibition as well as promotional area at the Dak Lak Durian Festival also attracted considerable attention from visitors.

Beyond the province, Dak Lak products have been showcased at numerous domestic as well as international fairs and forums, including the Spring Fair in Ha Noi, Cafe Show Viet Nam, the Viet Nam International Sourcing Expo in Ho Chi Minh City, the Dak Lak OCOP and Outstanding Rural Industrial Products Week in Da Nang, the Viet Nam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum in Hue, the Malaysia International Food and Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB), along with the Viet Nam - Laos Trade Fair.

A reliable pillar for enterprises

In addition to helping expand markets, the Dak Lak industry and trade sector is also supporting enterprises alongside producers in enhancing their competitiveness and expanding production. Online sales training courses have helped OCOP entities as well as small businesses become familiar with digital commerce. The management agency also serves as a direct bridge, enabling local enterprises to work with provincial leaders and departments along with directly meet major global retail groups involving Japan’s AEON, Lulu International and Central Retail. The sector has also organised working delegations for provincial enterprises to visit Japan coupled with Guangxi province, China to seek partners and expand markets.

Simultaneously, the industry and trade sector regularly updates information on prices together with trade promotion through the electronic information portal, helping enterprises proactively monitor markets, FTA regulations and the needs of international partners.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu An, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, the sector’s core objective is to serve as a reliable bridge to help enterprises resolve difficulties in finding markets for their products. These efforts, ranging from stronger trade promotion to connecting with while supporting enterprises, will help raise the profile of local agricultural and fisheries products while creating momentum for sustainable exports.

The industry along with trade sector will continue to effectively operate the Dak Lak Online Agricultural Products Marketplace (Chonongsandaklak.vn), while bring provincial enterprises to the Jeonju International Fermented Food Expo in South Korea and the China International Import Expo (CIIE 2026) in China. In particular, the sector is actively preparing the necessary conditions to successfully organise the specialised Coffee, Outstanding Rural Industrial Products and OCOP Fair as part of the Coffee Festival, scheduled to take place from March 10 - 15, 2027.
